Check it out... I'm wearing a suit... and if the collar is buttoned up, then I'm also wearing a tie. Respect for the job, eh.
Man... that was a nice beard... you can also hardly tell that my hair is half-way down my back in a ponytail. Nakamura's in Ohtawara... you won't find a better barbershop in Japan!
I'm tired from a lack of good sleep and I'm ticked off that my wife threw away an ink cartridge that was out of ink, but was still required to make the rest of the printer work... which it could do, as it has two containers for black ink. But... with a whole black cartridge missing... well, it won't work.
So I'm cranky. And, to be honest, I feel like I did many a night in Ohtawara when I was sad or feeling homesick... or just wanting something to go right.
It's not as all melodramatic as it sounds, of course... I just spent the last blog telling you how much I love Japan... and I did, and I do.
I'm working on a long article - historical, of course, but it's not ready yet... I'll try and do that for tomorrow. I've been working on it for a few days now.
Anyhow... enjoy the stupid picture and come back to get a history lesson. Or, come back and look at the naughty blogs on Teenaged prostitutes.
I would ask Matthew, however, if he would be willing to share some of his photos of Ohtawara... he might even know where some of those places are!
