Miss Universe 2012 Results

Well, Miss Universe 2012 has been crowned, and while I think Miss Japan 2012 Ayako Hara is gorgeous, she was in tough and did not get past the first round of cuts. That's Miss Japan in her evening gown up above. Not bad. I would take her dancing.

This year's winner is Miss USA... though personally, Miss Philippines, Miss Venezuela, and definitely Miss Australia held an edge in overall deliciousness.

Swimsuits?  I liked Miss Kosovo, Miss France, Miss Angola, Miss Vietnam, Miss Indonesia (she looked saucy!), Miss Curacao (looked awesome in the blue - oh, I get it!), and Miss Mexico in their swimsuits. You can tell I'm not into the ultra hard-body, which is why I didn't list Miss USA. I also didn't care for the eyebrows - but that's just me.

While I do like Miss Japan (below), she looked too haughty in her swimsuit pose... and I think that worked against her.
That's NOT the smile she needed. That's I'm sexy and I know it. It doesn't work here.
Evening gowns? I like Miss Indonesia, Miss Georgia, Miss Guyana, Miss Namibia (I didn't care for the ones that were overflowing all over the floor - I do... but I was also looking at practicality - it's going to get stepped on!)

Here's how it played out:

As far as best national costume goes, Miss Japan's handlers had an epic fail (see HERE). And, while I admire (and like) Miss Great Britain in her super-hero suit - it's gutsy, it also is a fail in a competition of this caliber. She looks like a Fembot. A sexy Fembot, but hardly representative of Great Britain and its long and fantastic traditions. I do like her hooker boots.
Miss Great Britain - Super-Hero
Cheers,
Andrew Joseph
